Gas fireplace insert — St. Louis, MO

Last updated: September 24, 2026

What affects the price

The final price for your gas fireplace installation depends on several moving parts. It starts with the unit itself—whether you choose a basic insert or a high-end designer model with custom stone work. We also look at your existing venting setup; if we need to run new lines or modify your chimney, labor costs will increase. Gas line access and electrical requirements are other variables that shift the total investment. We can provide exact pricing confirmed free on the call.

About this service

A gas fireplace insert is a metal-lined firebox that fits inside your current masonry fireplace. It acts as a heater rather than just a decorative feature, significantly improving efficiency compared to an open hearth. If your current fireplace is drafty or loses most of its heat up the chimney, an insert is a smart upgrade. Installation costs vary depending on the model features and the necessary gas line modifications. Exact pricing confirmed free on the call.

Summer is the best time to upgrade or install a new system. Since demand is lower, you can often coordinate installation around your vacation schedule or home renovation projects. Tackling the installation now means you will be ahead of the rush when the first frost arrives later in the year.
