Gas insert for fireplace — St. Louis, MO

Last updated: September 24, 2026

What affects the price

The final price for your gas fireplace installation depends on several moving parts. It starts with the unit itself—whether you choose a basic insert or a high-end designer model with custom stone work. We also look at your existing venting setup; if we need to run new lines or modify your chimney, labor costs will increase. Gas line access and electrical requirements are other variables that shift the total investment. We can provide exact pricing confirmed free on the call.

About this service

Installing a gas insert transforms a drafty, traditional wood-burning fireplace into a high-efficiency heating system. This involves placing a sealed gas unit inside your existing masonry firebox and running a new vent through the chimney. You should consider this upgrade if you want cleaner, more convenient heat without the mess of wood. The total cost typically depends on the size of the unit and the chimney liner installation requirements. Exact pricing confirmed free on the call.

Summer is the best time to upgrade or install a new system. Since demand is lower, you can often coordinate installation around your vacation schedule or home renovation projects. Tackling the installation now means you will be ahead of the rush when the first frost arrives later in the year.
